Lahore, March 16, 2017 (PPI-OT):Punjab Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that provincial government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, is persuading hard to provide quality healthcare facilities to the people on priority basis and provision of healthcare services at the doorstep has been enlisted in the top priority list. He said this while visiting under-construction extended project of Tayyip Erdogan Hospital Muzaffargarh.
Deputy Commissioner Muzaffargarh Saif Anwar Jappa also accompanied the Minister. Kh. Salman Rafique said that after completion of the extension block of the hospital, it would be a state-of-the-art 500-bed teaching hospital which would be equipped with latest biomedical equipment. He said that this hospital would provide free of cost diagnostic and treatment facilities to millions of local population as well as far-flung areas. Kh. Salman Rafique said that sooner, a delegation of Turkish doctors will be arriving in the hospital for performing duties.
He directed that the speed of construction work should be accelerated and quality of raw material also be checked. He said that no compromise would be made on best quality of material/construction. The Minister also visited the wards of the hospital and inquired after health of the patients. He also asked from the patients about the facilities provided to them especially provision of free medicines. The patients expressed their full satisfaction on the facilities extended to them. Kh. Salman Rafique took a round of the construction area. The local administration and engineers briefed the Minister on the spot regarding the project.
