Lahore, April 14, 2016 (PPI-OT):Commissioner, Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab, Afzaal Bhatti has said that the commission has received more than 2800 complaints of overseas Pakistanis so far, out of which 51 percent have been redressed. He was speaking to a gathering of overseas Pakistanis living in Madina Munawara (Saudi Arabia). Vice Chairman Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, Capt. Retd. Khalid Shaheen Butt, and Additional Director General / DIG Ahmed Mobin were also present on this occasion.
Afzaal Bhatti told that OPC Punjab has developed a modern and effective system where all the complaints are referred to the concerned departments and are monitored electronically. Vice Chairman OPC, Capt. Retd. Shaheen Butt said that overseas Pakistanis are playing a key role in strengthening of national economy.
He told that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has constituted OPC Punjab for resolving the problems of overseas Pakistanis on priority basis. He further said that government has great respect for those who are enhancing the image of the country through their hard work abroad. He said that overseas Pakistanis can contact OPC Punjab for redressal of their complaints. President PML (N) Saudi Arabia Mirza Altaf and representatives of other political parties were also present on this occasion.
