Operation in Karachi has a positive impact on sentiments of investors: Kamran Abbasi

Islamabad, March 23, 2015 (PPI-OT): President Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders Kamran Abbasi on Monday said operation in Karachi has a positive impact on the sentiments of investors. The financial and industrial capital of Pakistan will soon become peaceful to play its role in the national development if operation was kept above political and all other considerations, he said.

Abbasi demanded of the government to keep business community away from the critical matters of national security and they should not have any access to sensitive data. Inclusion of traders of questionable repute in the bodies to bring masses and law enforcement agencies closer have served no purpose and sometimes hindered action against criminals, he observed.

The business leader said that some of the business leaders have close contacts with political parties, ethnic gangs and other offenders which are currently under government’s scrutiny. We have received complaints that a disputed chief of a liaison committee has been harassing businessmen of a group on the behest of dominant group in the FPCCI by partially or completely blocking their SIMs and phones and other threats which must be probed by the government, said Abbasi.
