One Arrested for Encroachments and Inquiry Ordered against: Municipal Inspector

Peshawar: As per report published in the press regarding encroachments made on Jalil Kababi Road upto Jinnah Park with the allegations that there is a shop from where illegal official connections to these encroaches from Jinnah Park have been given.

A raid under the supervision of DCO Peshawar, Siraj Ahmad Khan, alongwith Administrator Town-I was conducted. The footpath was cleared from the encroachments and handcarts and other materials were taken into possession and handed over to Town-I Administration.

A person namely Wali Khan was found blocking the way leading to the mosque causing inconvenience to the people who used to go to the mosque for offering prayers. The encroachment was removed accordingly and the person was arrested and put behind the bar for 15 days.

The shop which was pointed out in the press report was sealed and the illegal electricity connections were removed and warrant U/S 3 MPO was issued against the accused as the SHO Traffic Police who was present during the operation pointed out that the shopkeeper is responsible for all encroachments made in the Jalil Kababi Road which were removed. The warrant was handed over to the local police for arrest of the accused.

As there were hub of debris lying on road causing inconvenience to the general public as well as blockade of the road, so as the concerned illaqa municipal inspector was charge sheeted for this gross negligence and Administrator Town-I was appointed as Enquiry Officer as he was always found in lacking of interest in his duties specially towards cleanliness of the area and as such Administrator Town-I was directed to submit enquiry report within 10 days.

Similarly, operation was also conducted on the railway track. The tents erected were removed as well as the handcarts were taken into possession and handed over to the Town-I Administration.
