OIC chief receives letter from president of Guinea-Bissau

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen received here on Tuesday Envoy of the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Ambassador Mamadou Sano Gomes, who handed him a written message from President Jose Mario Vaz.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the OIC and Guinea-Bissau and means of developing them in all fields.

Al-Othaimeen affirmed the OIC’s commitment to supporting the West African nation in realizing its people’s aspirations for stability and sustainable development.

For his part, Gomes expressed his appreciation of the OIC for its efforts in enhancing security, stability and development in Guinea-Bissau. He also expressed hope that the Organization would mobilize support to implement further development projects in the country.
