Lahore, March 07, 2016 (PPI-OT):Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif while mentioning transparency and merit policy of Punjab government during his address to inaugural ceremony of Land Record Management Information System said that all recruitments have been made on merit in the province and there is not even a single example of recruitment on the basis of safarish or bribe.
Officers and staff recruited for land record centres under Land Record Computerization Project came to stage and supported merit policy of Punjab government. Land Record Management Officer of Gujrat Land Record Centre Imran Siddique said that he knew about the post through advertisement in a newspaper and applied for the post, undergone test and a 10-member committee interviewed him and recruited through a transparent process.
He said neither anyone demanded bribe nor he gave even a penny to anyone. Another officer Sana Kausar told that she studied through hard earned money of her parents and she is a daughter of a labourer and she had no safarish. Assistant Director Kasur Land Centre Iram said that her family is not educated and she got service on merit and paid tributes to merit policy of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
Another officer Asima Cheema said that her parents have died and she got education and recruited on merit basis. She said that neither she had any safarish nor she knew anyone. Upon which, the Chief Minister said that life of this daughter was in darkness and merit policy brought light in darkness of her life. The Chief Minister said that merit is only key to development and we have to move ahead while following merit policy and achieve the goal of progress and prosperity. The staff recruited under transparent merit policy in land centres clapped.
