Srinagar, July 11, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Chief Patron of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R (JKLF-R), Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, while commenting over the recent decision of India, in which it directed the UNMOGIP to vacate its New Delhi office, deplored that the newly elected government of India was also behaving like the previous regimes and there is no change in India’s policy towards Kashmir.
Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo in a statement issued in Srinagar said that New Delhi should know that by asking the UNMOGIP to vacate the office, the disputed nature of Kashmir could never be changed. “Kashmir is internationally accepted as a disputed territory, such a move is just the frustration of the authorities and the United Nations should take a strong note it,” he added.
Paying rich tributes to the martyrs of July 13, 1931, he said that it was the day when the Kashmiris stood up against the injustice and oppression and made it clear to the world that they could never be made slaves and Kashmiris would resist at any cost, for their honour and dignity.
Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo said that the martyrs of July 13 set up the path, to resist and fight the repression, for the generations to come and those generations had a great responsibility on their shoulders, the responsibility of fighting against the repressor, oppressor and the injustice and the responsibility of fighting for the cause of freedom. The freedom of this land was the main motive of those martyrs and we have to carry forward their mission, he maintained.
