Srinagar, March 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front has condemned the continued detention of its leaders including Showkat Ahmad Bakshi, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, Siraj-ud-Din and Ashfaq Ahmad and other freedom leaders and youth, terming it the frustration of regime.
A JKLF spokesman in a statement termed intolerable the humiliating treatment meted out to the sister of Muhammad Maqbool Bhat by the police.
Meanwhile, the liberation leader, Javid Ahmad Mir in a statement in Srinagar said that New Delhi had given a freehand to Shiv Saniks, RSS and other Hindu extremist groups to attack Kashmiris.
Javid Ahmad Mir said, “Young boys in the age group between 12-15 and all freedom leaders are in police lock-ups. The atrocities on the people of Kashmir reflect the picture of Nazi rulers.”
He added that pepper gas had taken several lives.
APHC leader, Zafar Akbar along with a delegation visited hospitals and residences in Srinagar to enquire about the health of those injured in police shelling during protest demonstrations. The APHC leader condemned the use of brute force against the innocent civilians.
The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party coming hard down upon authorities for persecuting Shabbir Ahmad Shah said that the senior APHC leader was facing miseries for championing unity among all freedom leaders and organisations.
The Jammu and Kashmir Political Movement at a meeting presided over by its Chairman, Firdous Ahmad Shah in Srinagar demanded immediate release of detained Hurriyet leaders and activists.
