Nepali ambassador visits Punjab University

Lahore: Ambassador of Nepal in Pakistan Bala Bahadur Kunwar and Deputy Chief of Mission D.P. Bahandari visited the Punjab University and called on Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran in the committee room of VC Office here on Thursday. Deans of various faculties and senior faculty members were also present on the occasion.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran briefed the delegation about the ongoing academic and research programmes, departments and campuses of the varsity. He lauded good relations of Nepal with Pakistan. The Vice-Chancellor said once there was time when PTV dramas were famous in Nepal.

Nepali Ambassador Bala Bahadur Kunwar briefed the Vice-Chancellor about the history of Nepal and said people of all religions were living in Nepal together. He said Nepal was a rich country in tourism and the people are hospitiled who can also speak Urdu. The Vice-Chancellor and Nepali Ambassador agreed to enhance academic cooperation between the two countries.

In the end, the Vice-Chancellor gave away gifts to the members of delegation while Nepali Ambassador presented a gift of shawl to the Vice-Chancellor.
