Karachi, November 28, 2012 (PPI-OT): Central Deputy Secretary Information of Pakistan Peoples Party and Provincial Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the local bodies Government law introduced by General Musharraf is still working in Punjab while Sindh province is the first province of Pakistan which has changed Local Bodies law, made by General Musharraf.
This he said in a statement issued here on today. He said that if Nawaz Sharif was so sincere with Sindh then he should call a strike on 30th November in Punjab as well. He (Nawaz Sharif) having supported nationalists had proved that he was not sincere with the people of Sindh and he had no pain for the people of Sindh.
He added that in other provinces the Local Bodies Law of general Musharraf was being implemented while Sindh had made certain changes in the law which would prove beneficial to the people of Sindh and they would be able to use power at the gross root level. Provincial Minister sad, ‘Mian Nawaz Sharif is still following Pervaiz Musharraf law and N league while having majority in Punjab is unable to bring a new law that shows their political incapability.’
Sharjeel Inam Memon said that those who were opposing Local Bodies Law 2012, they had no concrete arguments to oppose it, just they wanted to misguide the people and it is unfortunate enough that these so called nationalists were striking in their own province in order to create problems for their own people. He said that those who earn on daily basis have to face great hurdles and these strikes also create negative impacts on the province and the country as well.
Provincial Minister said that if Mian Nawaz Sharif had objections on Local Bodies Law in Sindh then he should call a strike in Punjab on 30th November in order to show good gesture for the people of Sindh and if he did not do so it meant that he was not sincere with the people of Sindh and had a biased attitude towards people of Sindh.
