Islamabad: Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi has said that Hajj is a sacred worship and it was the utmost desire of every Muslim to go for Hajj. He said that Hajj is a matter of blessing of Allah and those who proceed on this sacred journey were blessed and fortunate. He said this while addressing a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs at Islamabad Airport to see off first Hajj flight from Islamabad today.
Congratulating Hujjaj-e-Ikram, Deputy Speaker said that Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam and obligatory for every Muslim who could bare the expenses on this holy journey. He said that Hajj gives us the lesson of tolerance, patience, harmony and brotherhood.
He said that some hardships had to face during this long sacred journey. He advised them to bear those hardships with patience and contentment. He said that your attitude and dealing with other pilgrims should be kind, soft and brotherly. He said that every Pakistani Haji was an Ambassador of his country and he/she has to prove through his character and temperament.
He prayed Almighty Allah to shower his blessing on Hujjaj, make their journey comfortable and calm and grant courage to bear the hardship during this sacred journey. He asked the Hajj pilgrims to pray for progress and prosperity of the country and Ummah.
He said that provision of facilities to Hujjaj was the topmost priority of Government and necessary measures have been taken to provide them with appropriate facilities. He appreciated the endeavours of M/o Religious Affairs and PIA and other institutions those who are working to facilitate Hujjaj.
Later on Deputy Speaker see off the Hajj pilgrims of the first flight from Islamabad. The Secretary, Religious Affairs and other Senior Officers of Ministry of Religious Affairs were also present on the occasion.
