National Accountability Bureau asks Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan to reduce discretion in registration process

Islamabad, April 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): Under Awareness and prevention regime of NAO, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has asked Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) to reduce discretion in the registration process.

In a meeting held at NAB (HQs) DRAP apprised NAB that 14,000 applicants were scrutinized on the direction of NAB and 4,624 were found in order, out of which 1,850 have been settled. NAB also proposed DRAP that the registration status of applications should be placed on official website of DRAP to facilitate the pharmaceutical manufacturers especially those in remote areas.
