Namaz-e-Janaza of 1965 War veteran Sepoy Maqbool Hussain, Sitara-e-Jurratwas was offered at Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi today (Wednesday).
Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa and large number of officers and soldiers attended the prayer and paid respects to the national hero.
Later, the dead body of Maqbool Hussain sent to his native village Narian, Tarar Khal, Azad Kashmir for burial with full military honour.
Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Muhammad Qasim Suri have expressed grief over the sad demise of Sepoy Maqbool Hussain, one of the heroes of 1965 war.
In their separate messages, they said Maqbool Hussain rendered great services for the cause of defence of the motherland.
Meanwhile, sepoy Maqbool Hussain, who passed away yesterday, was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Tarar Khal, Azad Kashmir, with full military honour.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has also expressed condolence on the death of legendary Pakistani sepoy.
In his message, the Chief Minister extended sympathies to the heirs and said that sepoy Maqbool Hussain exhibited valour and bravery during the war of 1965.
