Lahore, January 10, 2017 (PPI-OT):Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, while addressing the ceremony of the expansion of Recep Tayyip Erdogan Govt. of Punjab Hospital, Muzaffargarh, said after the approval of the expansion project of the hospital some friends advised him to name the hospital as Shahbaz Sharif Hospital.
He said the friends were of the view that although Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan had provided the initial support, but the Punjab government has provided resources to expand it from 100-bed to 500-bed hospital, and it has all been possible with the personal interest of the Chief Minister and the Punjab government is spending funds more than Rs 9 billion; therefore, this hospital should be named after Shahbaz Sharif.
“But I told the friends that we should not forget our patron and mentor. Although the Punjab government is providing resources for the hospital, the name of hospital will not be changed from Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who not only is the leader of Turkey, but also of Pakistan,” Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said in his speech.
