Muttahida Qaumi Movement delegation meets Prime Minister

Islamabad, November 15, 2012 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has urged the nation to remain vigilant and co-operate with law enforcement agencies so that anti state elements can be brought to book.

The Prime Minister was talking to a delegation of MQM led by Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping, Mr. Babar Khan Ghauri who called on him at his Parliament House Chamber this afternoon.

The Prime Minister urged the people to rise to the occasion and demonstrate unity so that extremism, militancy, intolerance, sectarian violence and terrorism can be defeated.

The Prime Minister expressed the resolve to restore peace and order in Karachi which is the economic hub of the country. He said that all possible measures would be taken by the Federal Government to assist the Provincial Government in ensuring safety and protection of the life and property of the citizens.

The MQM delegation apprised the Prime Minister of the latest law and order situation in Karachi.

Other members of the MQM Delegation included, MNAs, Mr. Wasim Akhtar, Khadim Ali, Abudl Qadir Khanzada, Sheikh Salauddin and Syed Asif Hasnain.
