Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram called on Secretary-General of the world body Antonio Guterres in New York and briefed him on the tragic and devastating impacts of the floods in Pakistan.

The Secretary-General expressed “deep sympathy” with the people and the Government of Pakistan, and promised full support of the UN system in the hour of need.

He agreed that Pakistan deserves all the support it needs for relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction.
