Mufti sworn in as puppet head of BJP-PDP coalition in IOK

Srinagar, March 01, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the pro-India Kashmiri politician, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was sworn in as the puppet Chief Minister of PDP-BJP coalition in the territory.

Sayeed’s swearing-in as the 12th puppet Chief Minister enabled the Hindu extremist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to make entry for the first time in the political set-up of occupied Kashmir.79-year-old Sayeed along with a 25-member cabinet was administered oath by Governor, N N Vohra at Jammu University’s auditorium in Jammu ending 49-day Governor rule in Kashmir.

The ceremony was attended by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and senior BJP leaders including L K Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi.

Meanwhile, people of Kashmir expressed strong resentment over Mufti Sayeed’s alliance with BJP, saying that they did not vote PDP to offer the Hindu communalist party, BJP, its shoulders to reach the power corridors in Kashmir.
