Karachi, March 31, 2016 (PPI-OT):Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Information and Archives Mr. Maula Bux Chandio has congratulated the newly elected body of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) here on Thursday. He conveyed his felicitations to newly elected president Syed Sarmad Ali through telephone and expressed well wishes for the new body and hoped that this body will use their capacities for the resolutions of problems faced by print media industry.
In felicitation statement issued here today, Mr Moula Bux Chandio congratulated Samad Ali for president, Rameeza Majid Nizami as Senior Vice President, Mumtaz A Tahir as Vice President, Umer Mujeeb Shami as Secretary General, Syed Ali Hassan Naqvi as finance Secretary and S.M. Munir Jilani as Joint Secretary of new executive committee of APNS for year 2016-17.
He hoped that newly elected body would also play pivotal role for the welfare of the professional journalists and other employees working in the newspapers. He said that Pakistan People’s Party and Government of Sindh strongly believe in the freedom of press and freedom of expression adding that information department has been planning for the solution of problems faced by the media industry and journalists.
Advisor information added that after assumption of responsibility as advisor on information he has personally visited many press clubs of Sindh and offices of various print and electronic media houses to seek the valuable suggestions from the senior journalist for provision of better environment to the professional journalists so that they could perform their duties without any fear and difficulty. He said that suggestions of senior journalists would be incorporated in the long term planning of Sindh information for well being of Journalist fraternity and media houses.
