Srinagar, December 13, 2015 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, mother’s wish to see her son after 23 years couldn’t be fulfilled, as her son, along with his wife were arrested by Indian Police and put them behind bars in Indian state of Bihar. Hajira Begum, 70, mother of Pir Rehmutullah Shah of Guzrayal village in Kupwara district died this morning un-noticed and her son could not shoulder her coffin due to arrest by Indian police. Hajira had been waiting for her son to return for the past 23 years.
Family members of Shah while talking to media persons said, “Hajira Begum and her family, which include her three sons and a daughter persuaded him to return as ailing mother was desperate to see him before her death.”
“Feeling the pain and illness of his mother Rehmutullah who is married finally returned with his wife from Nepal and was arrested at Indo-Nepal border and handed over to Bihar police which lodged the family at Motihar police station,” they added.
“Soon after Hajira came to know that Bihar Police have detained Shah and his wife she suffered a heart attack and was moved to hospital in Srinagar, from where she was discharged recently and finally she died at her home at Guzrayal, yesterday” said Pir Muhammad Sadiq, Shah’s cousin.
