More than 7000 patients treated by Pakistan Navy medical teams in Thar

Karachi, March 20, 2014 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Navy relief efforts continue for drought affectees of Thar, in which more than 7000 patients have been treated in the medical camp and mobile medical teams. PN Mobile medical teams are operating in Deh Sajai, Deh Sadhoi, UC Boolhari and UC Rajjar.

Minor surgeries have also been conducted in PN medical camp at Diplo. PN jeeps are deployed on regular patrolling to help the distressed.

Medical teams comprising of specialists and paramedical staff are being regularly deputed to Thar. Another medical team comprising of more than 70 personnel including PN doctors, paramedics and officers have been deputed for relief operations.

More than 15 ton ration and drinking water has been dispatched for the locals of Thar, today. Pakistan Navy is committed to serve its country men in times of distress and will continue to support till normalization of crisis.
