Islamabad, November 28, 2012 (PPI-OT): The Ambassador of Pakistan HE Mohammed Naeem Khan was warmly received by Shiekh Abdur Rehman Al Sudais, Imam and Khateeb, Masjid-ul-Haram and the President of the General Secretariat of the Two Holy Mosques Affairs at his office today. The Ambassador conveyed greetings from Pakistani leadership to Sheikh Al Sudais which he warmly reciprocated, says a press release received from Makkah here today.
Ambassador Naeem Khan also extended invitation to Imam Al Sudais to visit Pakistan to attend International Interfaith Conference being held in Islamabad in January next year. He said that this International Conference will complement the efforts of Custodian of two Holy Mosques King Abdullah ibn Abdul Aziz as Khadimul Harmain Sharifain himself propounded this Initiative of Interfaith Dialogue.
Sheikh Sudais thanked the Ambassador for his visit and also for the invitation and offered his full cooperation in making this Conference a meaningful event.
He said that Pakistan is a strong country with which Saudi Arabia enjoyed excellent brotherly relations.
Ambassador Mohammed Naeem Khan also requested Imam Sudais to pray for Muslim Ummah and particularly for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and its people. Sheikh Sudais prayed for the strength, stability, progress and prosperity of the government and people of Pakistan and said that relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are based on deep love and reverence which are not only exemplary but time-tested.
