Srinagar, July 02, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, has said that Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is working on some mysterious agenda about Kashmir and it seems that the base of this agenda is the change of demography of the territory.
Nayeem Ahmed Khan in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Jammu and Kashmir was a disputed region whose people were yet to decide their political future. “Modi must shun his mysterious agenda about Kashmir and announce that he is ready to settle the dispute in accordance with its historical perspective,” he added.
The JKNF Chairman said that the Kashmiri people had nothing personal against Narendra Modi but he was known for an ideology which was anti-Muslim and he looked towards Kashmir through the same prism knowing that this type of policy had damaged the peace and development of the whole region for decades together. He said that in such a political atmosphere the shutdown call against Mod’s visit was justified and genuine.
Nayeem Ahmed Khan said that mere visits of Indian leadership had not changed the ground realities of Kashmir. “Such visits had not changed the disputed nature of Jammu and Kashmir or the political demand of Kashmiri people,” he stated, adding that Modi should immediately read the writing on the wall and start serious efforts to resolve the Kashmir dispute.
