Islamabad: Minorities of Pakistan will stand by the Government of Pakistan in all circumstances. They are ready to render any sacrifice for the sovereignty of the country and pledged all out support to the Government in the need of hour. Minister of State expressed these views during cake cutting ceremony in Awami Church in Islamabad today.
He stated that democratic system in the country has strengthened and appreciated government’s efforts regarding welfare of the deprived of the society. He said government is taking all possible steps for the welfare and socio-economic uplift of the minorities to remove the sense of deprivation among them.
He further said that condition of religious minorities can be improved by promoting their rights, ensuring life safety, imparting education, legal support, security, real protection of the freedom and rights of citizenship through interfaith harmony dialogue.
All this will be possible if democratic institutions are stabilized in Pakistan leading to create a society where peace, religious freedom, civil co-existence and human dignity are respected”, he added.
Today we are conveying a message of peace, love and sincerity from the platform of Ministry of National Harmony and condemn the menace of ethnicity and sectarianism, the minister added.
The minister said such events will help promoting the national objectives of the government regarding the safeguard of rights of the minorities, interfaith harmony and other social rights not only domestically but also internationally.
The minister assured to extend all possible cooperation in protecting the rights of the minorities as per vision of founding father Quid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
