Ministry Support to National Productivity Organization in Public Sector Development Programme Projects

Islamabad: A Departmental Development Working Party (DDWP) meeting of Ministry of Industries was held on April 10, 2012 to allocate the PSDP funds under the chairmanship of Secretary MOI for different projects improvement of Pakistani Industry. The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary Ministry of Industries, Deputy Secretary (Projects), representatives from Planning Commission and Ministry of Finance.

In the said meeting attached departments of Ministry of Industry namely PITAC, EDB, SMEDA and National Productivity Organization presented their projects. NPO got approval of the four projects for the financial year 2012-2013 on Industries Capacity Building on Occupational Safety and Health (CBOSH), Productive Usage of Cotton Stalks (Briquetting) through Public Private Partnership, Establishment of Income Generating Enterprise for Production, Packing, Branding and Marketing of the Essential Oils through Public Private Partnership and Energy Efficiency project for Industrial Sectors in Pakistan (Phase I).
