Ministry of Housing monitoring Teams survey 2,900 Government Houses

Islamabad, March 26, 2013 (PPI-OT): Ministry of Housing had issued a notification, yesterday, regarding establishment of a ‘Vigilance and Monitoring Cell’ for the verification of government accommodations in the capital as per Supreme Court orders.

‘Vigilance and Monitoring Cell’ of the Estate Office has been established in the Ministry which is directly supervised by the Joint Secretary, Amna Imran.

The cell which consists of twenty teams is working actively as within the last twenty four hours the monitoring teams have undertaken survey of 2900 government houses in sectors G-9, G-10 and I-9. The Daily Survey Report (D.S.R) has been presented to the Joint Secretary. The results of reports would be declared after completion the survey operation.

The cell would remain open and operative on twenty four hour basis through out the stipulated period of the survey. The survey teams have been directed to accomplish the task of verifying legal occupants in government accommodations within 10 days before deadline of 15 days given by the Supreme Court.
