Islamabad, December 09, 2012 (PPI-OT): Minister of State for National Harmony Akram Masih Gill visited five different Churches in Youhanabad, Lahore to award Rs. 50 Lac donation for renovation of churches. He also inaugurated construction work of main road of Youhanabad which will cost Rs. 20 million and will facilitate the inhabitants of the locality.
Minister of State for National Harmony Akram Masih Gill appreciated Federal Government’s support for the efforts to uplift Minority Rights, especially of Christians, in Pakistan. Minister of State for National Harmony Akram Masih Gill urged the Christian Community to fully utilize Federal Government’s initiatives like of providing Higher Education Scholarships to Christians and of their enrolment into the Government Service.
Moreover, increased representation of the minorities in the Senate is another provided opportunity to present their problems more emphatically on national forum and to form more appropriate policies for the betterment of whole Community.
