Minister of State for Housing and Works re-launches Barakahu Housing Project

Islamabad, August 26, 2013 (PPI-OT): Barrister Usman Ibrahim Minister of State for Housing and Works has inaugurated the launching of long lasted housing scheme in Barakahu, Zone-IV at Mouzaz (Phulgran, Sakrila, Bobri) this morning for the federal government employees.

On the very outset of the ceremony, the Minister said that Mian Nawaz Sharif had vowed to the nation that his government will start its function from the day one after taking into power for the welfare and betterment of the masses.

It is a clear evidence of the assertion of the Prime Minister along with other endeavours, we are launching this long awaited Barakahu housing scheme here within few days of the establishment of present government.

The Minister further said that the Ministry of Housing and works will also start new housing schemes for the government employees in the newly sectors of Islamabad being opened by CDA.

The Barakahu Housing project is a joint venture between Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) and M/s Green Tree (Pvt.) Ltd). It carries distance of 11kms from convention center through Murree Express Highway via Angori Road. The cost of the project is Rs. 4968 million over an area of 3153 kanals 5 Marlas which will cater 3252 plots and will be completed in over 2 years period.

He further said that Ministry will also start new housing projects all over Pakistan in big and small cities to provide shelter to the shelterless and low income people of the country so that they have their own houses to live.

Secretary Naveed Akram Cheema, Tariq Pirzada, Director General FGEHF, along with other distinguished guests and officers of FGE Housing Foundation were also present at the occasion.
