Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that they did not believe on gender discrimination and being a human being, justice to all would be ensured at all cost.
This he said while talking to Ms. Maria in the Hashtnagri Police Station Peshawar the other night who was allegedly promised by one police personal Rahat of marriage.
After appearing of the said news in media, the Information Minister immediately rushed to the police station Hashnagri and met the affected girl. He, in presence of the lady police apprised himself of the grievances of the girl. She informed that her maternal uncle and police personal Rahat have jointly harassed and tortured her at home.
Mian Iftikhar Hussain on this occasion assured Ms. Maria that there would be complete justice with her and those involved in her harassment and torture would be dealt under Child Protection Bill as she was under-18 and torture on her was punishable act under the said bill. He continued that now the affected girl has been sent to Women Crisis Cell and was in the official custody of the government.
The Information Minister said that the government would ensure the implementation on the decision of the judiciary if any in the said case and the police also assured the same. He furthered that in the man dominant society, the woman should be more careful and take into consideration the social traditions and values and the man should also ensure provision of due rights to the women folk.
