Islamabad: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Changez Khan Jamali has said that there was tremendous potential for co-operation between Pakistan and India in the fields of Science and Technology. He was talking to Mr. Kapil Sebal, Indian Minister for HR and IT at the side-lines of 36th General Conference of UNESCO here this evening.
Begum Shehnaz Wazir Ali, Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Social Sector and member UNESCO Executive Board from Pakistan was also present in the meeting, says a press release received here today from Paris.
The Minister apprised the Indian Minister about on-going development and research projects in the fields of Science and Technology. Mr. Kapil Sebal highlighted Indian projects of Information Technology.
Both the ministers agreed that scientific and technological research was very important for both the countries to harness new and non-traditional resources of production of energy to speed up the process of industrial development. They discussed other matters of mutual interests and bilateral relations as well.
