Islamabad, November 19, 2012 (PPI-OT): Minister of State for Housing Malik Nouman Ahmad Langrial has directed his staff to pay a sudden visit to Federal Lodges and Hostels in Islamabad. It would be a very positive step form the Housing Ministry to initiate such measures to rectify the maladministration over these places.
During these unexpected visits the staff is directed to check the registrations procedure, staff strength, cleanliness, rooms’ condition, mess menu, facilities available to allottees and overall accommodation arrangement. After visiting, the observation report would be presented to the Minister of State and then the actions will be taken accordingly.
The Minister has also directed to make a complaint box in each hostel and federal lodge in which the residing government officers can drop their complaints regarding their rooms or suits problems and these complaints would be read directly by the Minister on daily basis.
The Minister has also demanded a report of the available vacated rooms and suits in these hostels and lodges so that further this accommodation may be provided to entitled officers only. The Minister of State reiterated that this is not a one-man task; we need the commitment and sincerity of whole team to fulfill this job.
The Minister stated that as the Housing Ministry has been entrusted with new management responsibilities of Lodges and Hostels so we will try our best to give a better change to residing officers and will redress their complaints and grievances as soon as possible.
