Islamabad, December 11, 2012 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Housing Sardar Talib Hassan Nakai, has directed concerned officials to accelerate the pace of development work of all projects of the Housing Ministry.
The Minister noted that the Housing Ministry has made little headway in respect of restarting the impeded work of ‘G-13 Life style’ and sector G-14. He said that we are well aware of the enormity of the accommodation problem in the Federal Capital and it is for this reason that concerned officials have been directed to boost up the work in progress.
The Minister expressed his concern over the dire need of accommodation in the Capital and stated that it is imperative that long term plans like G-14 and G-13 Life Style are put in place to redress the grievances of federal employees.
While talking about the upcoming elections he stated that we need to keep in mind that democracy does not mean the mere survival of a regime rather the sublime objective of a democratic state is to pay heed to the people’s suffering and make policies and ensure their implementation to alleviate the masses’ pains.
The Minister acknowledged the achievement of the present government for completing its tenure through the ‘politics of reconciliation’ and hoped that the next government, whichever it may be, would also keep on following such ways to lead the country on the way to progress.
