Karachi, November 22, 2018 (PPI-OT): People belonging to different schools of thought took part in processions taken out in the district West to observe Eid Miladun Nabi on Wednesday. Worship places, streets, buildings, markets and houses were decorated on the occasion. The main procession in the Baldia Town and Saeedabad and different areas of West District started and culminated at Orangi Town Qasba Colony at. Another procession was taken out Orangi Town Banaras Town. Brelvi, Deobandi and Ahle Tashee delegations participated in the processions together and were welcomed and received warmly all over the city.
Strict security arrangements were put in place by Deputy Commissioner (DC) West Zahid Hussain Memon and law enforcement agencies on the occasion. The participants were carrying banners, placards and flags and chanting slogans to show their devotion, love and respect for the holy prophet. Dawat-e-Islami set up stalls at different places to welcome the processions and its members also joined them.
The Qatar hospital of district West remained on high alert. Senior Superintendent of Police of police (SSP) district West Shoukat Ali Khatain said all the processions culminated peacefully and no untoward situation was witnessed. In the district West , the route of the main procession was cordoned off with containers. The ban on the use of musical instruments and loudspeakers.
Roads and streets presented the look of festivity. All public and private buildings were illuminated. Food was distributed at numerous places. Mosques had also made special arrangements to distribute sweets after the Milad functions. The main procession was taken out from Markazi Jamia Mosque Ghousia-e-Azam at 10am under the aegis of Central Committee for Jashn-i-Eid Miladun Nabi.
DMC West Chairman Izzaruddin Ahmed monitor streets, roads and narrow lanes should be cleansed properly, waste material should also be removed from every part of District West especially near procession routes and prayer places, while wall-chalking and illegal encroachments should be removed. Thousand of policemen and personnel of other law enforcement agencies were deployed to ensure security
