Lahore, March 03, 2021 (PPI-OT): Inspector General of Police Punjab Inam Ghani said that Pakistan Day Parade to be held on March 23 in Islamabad is a very important national event in which the participation of Punjab Police contingent is not only a source of pride for the police department but also the police personnel filled with high spirit of patriotism should fully participate with hard work and full determination doubling the splendour of this event.
He further said that troops of other national institutions and forces would also participate in the Pakistan Day Parade which would further promote national unity and patriotism. Therefore, best arrangements should be made for the participation of Punjab Police contingent and senior officers should not leave any stone unturned for preparation and practice of the force in this regard. He directed the DIG Training to self-monitor all the arrangements and appoint focal persons in this regard for police force parade management and keep close coordination with concerned agencies.
He urged the senior officers to make their own selection of the supporting staff of the police contingent to attend the event while the best arrangements for the accommodation and meals of the police personnel in the contingent should also be kept in mind. He issued these instructions while presiding over a high-level meeting on training matters at the Central Police Office here today.
During the meeting, DIG Training Dr. Suleiman Sultan Rana while briefing the IG Punjab about the arrangements for the participation of the police contingent said that all the preparations and arrangements have been completed for the participation of the Punjab police contingent in the Pakistan Day Parade and practice is being carried out with great diligence. IG Punjab directed the officers that the participation of the Punjab Police contingent in the Pakistan Day Parade would be a reflection of the discipline, diligence, professional skills and professionalism of the police force, therefore all steps in this regard should be taken with full attention and meticulousness.
The meeting was attended by Additional IG Training, Kunwar Shah Rukh, Additional IG Logistics and Procurement, Ali Amir Malik, Additional IG Operations, Sahibzada Shehzad Sultan, DIG Training, Suleiman Sultan Rana, Commandant Police Training College Chong, Ahmad Jamal-ur-Rehman and other officers.
