Islamabad: A delegation of National Press Club led by its President, Mr. Farooq Faisal visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).
Speaking on the occasion, Farooq Faisal, President National Press Club said that journalist community would keep on identifying problems of business community. He said that ICCI and National Press Club should make a team of experts to prepare budget proposals for addressing the key issues of economy.
He assured cooperation of National Press Club to ICCI in highlight various problems of business community and citizens as current economic policies of the Government were proving harmful to trade and industry.
Yassar Sakhi Butt, President ICCI said that National Press club is playing a significant role in highlighting the important issues at national and international levels. He said that our country has been facing numerous challenges like shortage of electricity and gas along with their price hike which were ultimately affecting business activities.
He said that business community and journalist should have close coordination to highlight the problems of businessman so that same could be addressed and businesses could flourish.
President ICCI said that our country has an abundance of natural resources that could help in overcoming prevailing challenges, thus media should play its key role in identifying such indigenous resources to help bring boom in country’s economy.
Tariq Sadiq, Chairman Founder Group and Munawar Mughal, former president ICCI said that Media should play its role in developing national cohesion, stability and culture of patience in the country.
