MDM concerned about persecution of Muslims in Jammu

Srinagar, December 28, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Muslim Deeni Mahaz (MDM) has expressed deep concern over the persecution of Jammu Muslims at the hands of the communal elements. The MDM spokesperson in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the situation as alarming for the Muslims of Kashmir.

The MDM General Secretary, Muhammad Maqbool Butt, said, “After the attacks in Poonch and Rajouri, a driver Akhtar Hussain, has been attacked and seriously injured in Dadpeth Kishtwar. The offensive posture of SHO Doda towards Muhammad Ayaz, the district president of MDM shows, that once again preparations are being made to repeat the history of 1947.”

“Muslims of entire Jammu and Kashmir are united and the enemy should be aware that entire Muslim population of the territory will rise up against their evil intentions,” the statement added. They are trying to sell dreams to Muslims in the name of art and culture and those who raise their voice are being targeted and persecuted, the MDM maintained. “The drama of dialogue and slogans of ideological battles are being used to hoodwink the public opinion,” MDM said and asked the Muslims to be aware of organisations like “Muslim Morcha” and programs like “Parwaaz Kashmir”.
