Islamabad, December 18, 2017 (PPI-OT):The Capital Hospital is not only serving the employees and officers of CDA but is also providing treatment to the patients of other government institutions and a large number of residents of the Federal Capital. All out measure are being taken for up-gradation of Capital Hospital. The up-gradation plan includes the installation of latest medical equipments and machinery, while the process for recruitment of doctors and paramedical staff is in final stages.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz said this while presiding over a meeting here at CDA Headquarters. On this occasion, Executive Director Capital Hospital and officers of concerned formations were also present. The meeting reviewed last month progress report of the Capital Hospital.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz said that construction of new block in the Capital Hospital has been approved; while recruitment process for doctors and paramedical staff is at final stage. He said that with the introduction of new and latest medical facilities, employees and officers of CDA would enjoy the best modern medical facilities.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz said that due to consistent increase in number of patients with the passage of times, it is the dire need of the hour to upgrade the Capital Hospital. Besides, the construction of new block more staff and doctors would be inducted with the installation of latest machinery to provide the best medical facilities to the patients. He said that a comprehensive strategy has been formulated for expansion of the Capital Hospital; while work on the plan would be started very soon.
On this occasion Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz was apprised that CDA Hospital has treated 64,948 patients during the month of November, 2017. This number includes both CDA employees as well as outdoor patients. He was informed that 30,517 outdoor patients were provided treatment at CDA hospital during the month of November in addition to the 846 in door ward admissions.
Furthermore, 27,795 pathology laboratory examinations, 187 operation theatre procedures, 1,581 general radiology and 277 imaging radiology, 509 provided physiotherapies, 784 ECGs / ECHO / ETT, 231 Dialysis and 138 platelets rich plasma therapy patients were also treated during the month of November, 2017. Moreover, 61 babies were born at the Capital Hospital during the month of November. Similarly 22 patients expired at the Capital Hospital during this duration.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz directed the Executive Director Capital Hospital to ensure the presence of doctors and paramedical staff and also ensure good behaviour and provision of medical facilities to the patients.
