Mayor Karachi attends Earth Hour Program

Karachi, March 26, 2017 (PPI-OT): Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar said work for the betterment of city and country will continue despite having limited powers and resources. All over the world environmental improvement being focused however, here in Karachi people were dying due to suffocation of burning garbage. He was addressing to the Earth Hour program held in coordination with WWF in Frere Hall.

MNA Raza Abidi, former provincial minister Khalid Umer and other officers and citizens in large number also attended this program. Lights were put to off during the Earth Hour to express the love for earth during this program. Mayor Karachi said cleanliness was mandatory for brining improvement in the environmental conditions and the city must be free of all garbage and waste. He asked the citizens to dump their garbage wrapped in plastic bags at designated sites and keep their streets and roads clean.
