Srinagar, March 09, 2015 (PPI-OT): The veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has expressed happiness and pleasure over the release of Hurriyet leader Masarrat Aalam Butt and has demanded unconditional release of all illegally detained Hurriyet leaders. Syed Ali Gilani in a statement from New Delhi said that the release of Masarrat Aalam Butt would further strengthen the Kashmir liberation movement.
He said that the courage and steadfastness of Masarrat Aalam Butt made clear to the Indian rulers and their local agents in the occupied territory that the ongoing liberation movement couldn’t be suppressed through use of brute force. He said that India had no legal, constitutional or moral justification for continued detention of Hurriyet leaders and activists.
On the directives of the veteran Hurriyet leader, dozens of Hurriyet leaders and activists including Mohammad Altaf Shah, Peer Saifullah, Raja Meraj-ud Din, Mohammad Afzal Lone, Mohammad Ashraf Laya, Sayed Imtiyaz Hyder, Zafar Habib, Ishfaq Ahmad and Ashiq Hussain Sofi in different delegations visited the residence of Masarrat Aalam Butt and expressed their happiness over his release.
