Karachi, August 31, 2016 (PPI-OT): Sindh Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Muhammad Ali Malkani has stressed upon the officials to make close coordination with allied departments for completion of public oriented schemes for the benefit of the poor people of the province.
This he said while presiding over a meeting/ reviewing the development schemes / projects 2015-16 and 2016-17 at his office here today. Secretary Livestock Muhammad Nawaz Shaikh, Director General Livestock Dr. Abdul Qadir Junejo, Director General Fisheries Ghulam Muhammad Mehar, Director Fisheries Inland Khawar Pervaiz Awan, Director Animal Husbandry Dr. Aslam Pervaiz Umrani, Director Poultry Sindh Dr. Nazeer Kalhoro, Senior Chief P and D Shahabuddin Memon, Deputy Secretaries Farhan Kazi, Dr. Asad Ishaq and officials of Works and Services, P and D and Livestock attended the meeting.
Minister Livestock Muhammad Ali Malkani has said that the Government is giving top priority to livestock and fisheries Sector for which many development projects are being launched for the welfare and well being of the fishermen and livestock farmers people. He exhorted upon officials to monitor and coordinate with respective departments for timely completion of the schemes so that desired targets could be achieved. In this regards no negligence would be tolerated and responsible will not be spared.
He described that he will monitor and visit all such development projects. He said that all possible efforts should be gear up process to clear the schemes in time for inclusion in Annual Development Program. Secretary Livestock Muhammad Nawaz Shaikh while giving detailed presentation informed that for years 2015-16 and 2016-17, 40 different development schemes worth of Rs.1798 million are being run throughout the province. He further said that 25 on-going and 15 new schemes are being launched including 29 livestock and 11 fisheries sector schemes.
