Islamabad, December 19, 2012 (PPI-OT): Interior Minister Mr. A. Rehman Malik today called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Chief Minister House Karachi.
He briefed the President about his recent visit to India where he met the Indian leadership. He conveyed to the President best wishes and greetings from the Prime Minister of India Mr. Manmohan Singh.
The President appreciated the operationalisation of the new visa arrangement between Pakistan and India during the visit of the Interior Minister and said the new arrangement would facilitate the travelers of the two countries to visit each other.
The Minister also briefed the President about law and order situation in the country especially about the incidents of Polio staff killings in Karachi and Peshawar.
The President while strongly condemning the attack on polio field workers directed the Interior Minister to bring the culprits to justice. He paid rich tributes to the services of all those who were complementing the Government’s efforts for eradication of crippling disease from the country. The President directed the Interior Minister to ensure safety and security of Polio field workers.
