Liquid foreign reserves reach US$22,978.5 million

Karachi, August 04, 2016 (PPI-OT):State Bank of Pakistan on Thursday announced that total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$22,978.5 million on 29 July 2016. The break-up of the foreign reserves position is following.

Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan stood US$18,060.5million; net foreign reserves held by commercial banks remained US$ 4,918.0 million; and total liquid foreign reserves stood at US$ 22,978.5 million.

During the week ending 29 July 2016, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves increased by US$24 million to US$18,061 million, compared to US$18,037million in the previous week.
