Lifting of curbs on Gilani, Malik demanded

Srinagar, April 09, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi has demanded the lifting of restrictions on veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani and JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and release of all Hurriyet leaders and activists including Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan.

The senior APHC leader in a statement in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to the noted Kashmiri religious scholar, Maulana Showkat Ahmad Shah on his second martyrdom anniversary.

The APHC and the Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement, Farida Behnji in separate statements denounced the inhuman treatment meted out to the Kashmiri youth inside Indian jails including the two youth lodged at Central Jail in Jaipur on fake charges.

The forum patronized by veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement said that the sacrifices of thousands of martyrs would always remain a source of inspiration for the Kashmiris.

The APHC leaders Zafar Akbar Butt and Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in their statements said that the Kashmir dispute was a sleeping volcano that could burst any time if not addressed as per aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement, Firdous Ahmad Shah addressing a function in Srinagar denounced the Indian policy of extending the detention of Hurriyet leaders and activists to stifle their voice for freedom from Indian bondage.

Unidentified gunmen killed a worker of pro-India National Conference and a young student in Pulwama and Doda districts.

In Islamabad, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement deplored that the United Nations’ indifference towards sufferings of the Kashmiris had encouraged India to crush the liberation struggle with full force and military might.
