Lahore, September 15, 2016 (PPI-OT): The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has appreciated the Punjab Government, City District Government Lahore (CDGL, Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) and Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) for taking foolproof measures to keep the city clean during the Eidul Azha.
In a statement issued here, the LCCI President Sheikh Muhammad Arshad, Senior Vice President Almas Hyder and Vice President Nasir Saeed said that said it was a matter of great satisfaction that CDGL in co-operation with LWMC and WASA chalked out a comprehensive plan to keep the city free of all kinds of animal waste.
They said that timely distribution of waste bags and literature helped maintain environment clean and healthy to a great extent and for that the entire management of the three departments deserved appreciation. The LCCI office-bearers said the constitution of joint committees comprising staffers of CDGL, LWMC and Wasa to deal with the problem was an ample proof of Chief Minister’s commitment towards the welfare of masses. They hoped that the practice would also continue in future as well to turn Lahore into a beautiful city.
The LCCI office-bearers also paid rich tributes to the security forces for maintaining law and order during the Eid days.
