Lahore, January 17, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Thursday took a strong exception to traffic mess at Ferozepur Road that is hitting hard the economic activities.
In a statement issued here, the LCCI Vice President Mian Abuzar Shad said that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry had received a number of complaints about the traffic congestion at Ferozepur Road that is not only linking the City with other cities but also have many industrial units and an adjacent Industrial Estate.
Mian Abuzar Shad said that the traffic congestion is not only adding to the cost of doing business but is also disrupting the business activities.
He said that the LCCI is not against the development being carried out on different city roads but it definitely wants smooth traffic flow through opening up of other routes.
Mian Abuzar Shad urged the Chief Traffic Officer to take a serious view of this situation and post more traffic cops to handle the traffic in a winsome manner.
The LCCI Vice President said that on the one hand gas and electricity shortage is incurring a huge loss while on the other traffic like problems are affecting the smooth running of businesses.
