Srinagar, May 30, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a labourer was killed and four others were injured in a shell blast in Ladakh region. The victim identified as Arjun Singh was killed when the live shell exploded while he along with four others was collecting scrap from an Indian army firing range in Leh, police said. “The injured were shifted to a hospital,” police said.

Locals in Drang and adjacent areas have been demanding the removal of the Indian Army from the Tosamaidan area, which has destroyed the local life of people. Meanwhile, Indian troops in a raid arrested a youth identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Sofi of Model Town Sopore, from Rampora-Chattabal in Srinagar.
