Kishtwar shuts against civilian killings in Kashmir valley

Srinagar, August 17, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed, today, in the entire Kishtwar district of Jammu region in protest against the unabated civilian killings by Indian forces in the Kashmir Valley.

Call for the shutdown was issued by Imam of Jamia Masjid Kishtwar, Farooq Ahmed Kichloo, after a decision taken by the Majlis-e-Shoora comprising Imams of various Masajid and the religious bodies.

All shops, business establishments and schools remained closed in the district while a thin attendance was recorded in government offices.

Most of the towns in the district like Palmar, Drabshalla, Chatroo, Mughalmaidan, Dadpath, Bhunjwah and Sarthal witnessed complete shutdown.
