Srinagar, April 18, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leader and the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM), Zafar Akber Butt has said that killings and arrests cannot weaken the freedom sentiment of the people of Kashmir. Zafar Akber Butt, who is under house arrest, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that such kinds of pressure tactics would not yield any result or support in favour of Indian. He said the present protest demonstrations in and outside Kashmir was an eye opener for the Indian civil society.
He said that Kashmir was an internationally recognized disputed territory and should be resolved politically and democratically in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations. Indian should shun its rigidity and accept Kashmir as dispute and stop its armed forces from involving in the worst human rights violations in Kashmir. Zafar Akber Butt also lauded the courage of people of Kashmir for registering their protest against the civilian killings by Indian forces.
