Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister says government has taken initiatives to fulfill shortage of doctors

Peshawar, March 10, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has said that the present provincial government has taken initiatives to fulfil the shortage of doctors and technicians in government hospitals and heal centres, as the government in its short period of governance has appointed 256 doctors, 46 medical officers and 606 nurses in different hospitals and BHUs while 95% appointment of technicians has also been completed.

He was talking to media on the occasion of welfare party for batch, 2014 in Jinnah Medical College Peshawar, Shaukat Ali Yousafzai urged medical students to avail the present facilities in the hospitals, as there is a huge shortage of doctors and other staff in public run hospitals.

They would be facilitated as much as possible. He further stated that the provincial government had allocated huge amount to facilitate the poor people in health sector and the government would leave no stone unturned in this regard.
