Srinagar, February 08, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that the Kashmiris are struggling for their basic right and will succeed in their mission at the end of the day. Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the freedom movements in any part of the world cannot be time bound, nor do they become irrelevant due to prolonged period but till date no freedom struggle has remained unsuccessful.
The veteran leader maintained that permanent solution to the Kashmir dispute was in the interest of not only the Kashmiris but it was also imperative for the prosperity and development of the millions of people of both India and Pakistan.
Terming the stance adopted by Pakistan Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif on Kashmir as based on truth and reality, Syed Ali Gilani said that people had high morale and would never give up their genuine struggle for right to self-determination despite India’s excesses in the territory.
He further said that Pakistan is supporting the right to self-determination of Kashmiri people on political, diplomatic and moral levels right from 1947. “Until this dispute is resolved according to the wishes and sacrifices of its people, the lasting peace and stable political situation is not possible in the entire South Asia,” he warned. Gilani said India has no constitutional and moral right to control Jammu and Kashmir with its military might.
