Kashmiris’ inclusion in Pak-India talks urged

Srinagar, December 13, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has called upon Pakistan and India to include the true representatives of Kashmiris in their talks for settlement of the Kashmir dispute. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a function at Batamaloo in Srinagar, today, said that the people of Kashmir had rendered unprecedented sacrifices for securing their inalienable right to self-determination, and not for indulging in any power game.

The forum led by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian intelligence agencies were spreading immorality under a premeditated plan by sending filthy and derogatory messages through cellular companies, particularly the government-owned Sanchar Nigam Limited. The forum said the messages are also sent to subject Kashmiri youth to mental torture and humiliation. Hurriyet leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza and Zamruda Habib in their statements urged the authorities to immediately release all illegally-detained students to save their educational career from being ruined.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah paid glowing tributes to renowned freedom leader Sofi Akbar on his 28th anniversary. An intense cold wave swept the Kashmir Valley today as minimum temperatures dropped below the freezing point. Leh town in Ladakh region recorded a minimum temperature of minus 12.1 degrees Celsius.
